What truly drives engagement? First, it’s about enjoying what you do, but it’s also being appreciated. Studies suggest that recognition, career growth opportunities, work-life balance, and a strong company culture are key factors. When employees feel heard and appreciated, their commitment to the organization strengthens.
For example, allowing employees to take ownership of their work fosters innovation and job satisfaction. Similarly, clear direction/impact morale. Adding value to the workforce is ongoing training for all staff including leadership. I would also contend that success stems from genuinely valuing feedback, what others say and share, whether from surveys, focus groups, team discussions or one-on-one conversations.
